On this January 1st, I’m reminiscing about this beautiful day back in September when we had 18 round bales of fresh cut hay delivered and we foolishly thought that would feed our cattle through the whole winter. 😆

We had to have 14 more round bales delivered on NYE. 😩 We have 2 cows going in for slaughter in a couple weeks, so I’m hoping (praying!) that our numbers dropping will help stretch this hay until spring. That will take us down to 1 bull, 1 pregnant cow, and 3 calves.

Happy New Year!

What a lovely sight!

This is a novelty every fall, the kids LOVE playing on the hay bales. Who needs toys when you live on a farm?
