This is Freddie, our new bull. His daddy is actually our last bull that went to freezer camp last fall. We really enjoyed that bull, and we are thrilled to have his offspring here to carry on. But he was getting a little too full of himself at 3 years old, so we decided to move on from him before someone got hurt; it didn’t help his case when he walked over and through my chicken pen. So now we have Mr. Freddie. We’re calf sharing with him while we milk his momma, Priscilla. He gets about an hour to nurse after I milk her out each morning. At 8 months old, he’s living the good life… nurse in the morning, breed his 4 ladies the rest of the day. We don’t have any proof that he’s actually gotten anyone bred yet, but I can assure you he’s taking his job very seriously and he’s working hard.
